Hey.
It's fun being useless at work. :) I punched in at the new store, couldn't find my boss so I went to the old store, who didn't know what to do with me and sent me to the new store, who didn't want me there and sent me back to the old store, who didn't want me either and made me do busy work all morning. :) I hung up jeans, "put away" returns...although there wasn't too much to put away or really any places to put any of it, the store is getting really empty! After that, I was on register for all of 25 minutes, then it was lunch. THEY FED US! So I had fried chicken in addition to the lunch that I brought with me. :D

After lunch we had a meeting, and after that me and another girl Christina (who got sent back and forth with me this morning too) sat there waiting for our boss to show up in the new store. When she got there, she told us to put away books. But when we got to the books, the lady there said a vendor does that and we shouldn't touch them. So we went back to our boss, who was actually with the vendor. The vendor told us to go to the books, but then decided it was too hard to explain to us, so she sent us to the music department (she was also in charge of that) to ALPHABETIZE the CDs. In three hours, Christina and I managed to make it all the way through the K's, which I think is more than the lady expected of us. We got through the K's by 4:55, and with only 5 minutes left of the day we went to see if our boss needed anything, but we didn't make it far before a manager told us to help put away extra shelving that was brought up.

...I was on a ladder about 10 feet up, putting away shelves on a hangy rack thing...AND I was in a skirt. Not a pretty picture. :\

And that was my day. My head hurts...my feet hurt because my loafers gave my ankles blisters, and I am tired. But at least I am learning new things at work. :)
